Your Research Paper will be graded as follows:
Introduction (30 points)
There is an engaging introduction, clear issue and reason for issue + roadmap. 30 pts
There is a clear issue and reason for issue, but no roadmap 24 pts
There is a clear issue, but unclear reason for issue and no roadmap 18 pts
Issue is unclear, reason for issue is unclear + no roadmap 12 pts
Body (60 points)
Each paragraph has a clear, distinct support point + evidence (ideas, examples, citations from research) + comments on why this point is significant. 60 pts
Most paragraphs have a clear, distinct support point + evidence (ideas, examples, citations from research), but some lack the significance of the points 45pts
Some paragraphs have a clear, distinct support point, but unclear or missing evidence (ideas, examples, citations from research), and no comments on the significance of the point 30pts
Some paragraphs have an unclear support point, unclear or no evidence, and no comments on the significance of the point 15 pts
Conclusion (40 points) 1. Writer’s clearly offers a solution to the problem/issue, makes recommendation, and/or predicts future possibility or consequence, AFTER evaluating all perspectives. 40 pts 2. Writer clearly offers a solution to the problem/issue, makes recommendation, and/or predicts future possibility or consequence, but lacks evaluation of one or more perspective 30 pts 3. Writer’s solution, recommendation, and/or prediction is not clear, and conclusion lacks evaluation of one or more perspectives 20 pts 4.
