The respiratory and lymphatic systems have an effect on embalming. One has an effect on the condition of the body and the other has an effect on the potential health of the embalmer. 

Research the effects of edema on the body, as well as airborne contamination, and answer the following:

1) How could the respiratory system be a danger to the embalmer? What are some of the diseases the embalmer could be exposed to? How could the embalmer prevent exposure to these diseases?

2) Edema can be a real issue for the embalmer. What is edema, and how would it affect the condition of a body?
