Write an essay (between three and five pages) about how you view different managerial styles. For instance, we have the military authority style, the participatory style of academics and community committee groups, and a mixture of work styles in offices and industries. There are different managerial styles for different positions, as well. A paramedic crew chief has a different job than the director of operations or an EMS chief with a fire service. The business office manager has a different job than the shift supervisor. Each of these different positions influences the person in charge, as well as the employees. Further, each style has it’s own positives and negatives. Each is effective in certain settings and not so effective in other settings. Overall, what type of manager do you want to be? What type of setting do you want to work in?
