A. Nicotine is a drug that is found in cigarettes to which smokers get addicted.
B. Nicotine basically acts by substituting for the body’s own chemical at nicotine
receptors.

A. Many people have been affected by this addiction in so many ways.
B. It can damage your body in some many ways, but people still insist on smoking.
BODY
I. It causes unpleasant withdrawal symptoms.
A. First, smokers feel good when the addictive drug is present, and bad feelings occur when it’s absent.
B. Next, it makes breathing very difficult.
II. Nicotine withdrawal symptoms are different for everyone.
A. Some smokers have difficulty concentrating and show signs of depressed moods.
B. Smokers always have the urge to smoke.
III. Nicotine addiction will surely lead to health issues.
A. This addiction will increase blood pressure and heart rate.
B. When smoking, carbon dioxide will damage the inner walls of the arteries, which encourages the fat tissue to build up, and will possibly lead to a heart attack.
CONCLUSION
I. Summary
A. Cigarette smoking has been linked to 90 percent of all lung cancer cases.
B. It’s associated with the cancer of the mouth, esophagus, cervix, and the bladder.
II. Clincher
A. Cigarette smoke not only contains nicotine, it also contains over four thousand chemicals and four hundred other toxins that destroy the body.
B. Some people never take the effects of smoking seriously until it’s too late.
