IUPAC Nomenclature problems
Help, I don’t get why these are nomenclatures are named that
specific way ):
1) trans-2-tert-butyl-5-isobutyl-1,1-dimethhylcyclohexane…
what are other possible names? Why is there a trans in front of it.
How will i know where to locate the parent chain..
2) the answer is 4-ethylnonan-3-ol but I just don’t know where the
ethyl came from.
3) What are some tips you would recommend to tackle these IUPAC
Nomenclatures.. they are super confusing.
