Lipids can be categorized in many different ways. The lipids we are interested in can be organized into three broad categories: Storage Lipids, Structural Lipids, and Signaling Lipids. Make some sort of organized table or graph or flow chart (etc) that shows each of these broad categories Write a brief description of the function of each of these broad categories. Include this in your organized chart (etc). Put fatty acids, triacylglycerols, phospholipids, glycolipids, sphingolipids, glycerophospholipids, eicosanoids, and steroids into the three broad categories above. Draw a “cartoon” lipid for each sub-category (the 8 lipids above). This should something that shows the common traits for each group – not detailed structural information. Draw the detailed structure of one lipid from each sub-category. .
