temperature of 600C and a pressure of 10 bar. The second stream has
a flow rate of 50 mol/s with a temperature of 200C and pressure of
20 bar. A young engineer proposes a process in which the two
streams described above are fed to a new process unit and single
stream exits at 1 bar pressure. She claims this will produce 220 kW
of heat and generate 1.7 MW of power. You may assume it’s an ideal
gas with a Cp of 30 J/mol.K
a. Assuming this is possible, find temperature of exiting
stream.
b. Determine whether or not this is possible
