(This is Fluorescence Determination of Quinine in Tonic Water
lab question.)
Question
For the quinine solutions, plot (fluorescence intensity
minus that of the blank) vs. concentration. and Calculate the ppm
quinine in each sample. Take dilutions into account.
this is my results

procedure
1. Prepare 2 L of approximately 0.05 M H2SO4 by dilution of 100
mL of 1 M H2SO4in a 2 L bottle.
2. Prepare a 100 ppm stock solution of quinine by dissolving
0.1207 g of quinine sulfate in 50 mL of 0.05 M H2SO4 in a 1 L
volumetric flask, dilute to volume, and store in the 1 L
bottle.
3.Prepare 100 mL each of a 0.1 ppm, 0.2 ppm, 0.3 ppm and 0.4 ppm
solutions of quinine by accurate serial dilution of the stock
solution with 0.05 H2SO4.
4.For the series of quinine solutions of concentrations 0.1,
0.2, 0.3, and 0.4 ppm, and the blank (the 0.05 M H2SO4) measure the
fluorescence intensity of each.
